What is an Uncontested Divorce?

It is a divorce in which the parties (Husband and Wife) have reached a decision as to the terms of the divorce without going to trial. However, just agreeing to a divorce alone is not the only requirement needed.

To obtain an uncontested divorce the parties should be in agreement on the following issues:

  1. Division of property

  2. Division of debts

  3. Custody and Visitation of the children (if any)

  4. Child support

  5. Spousal support

We can help you in analyzing all the issues above and help you determine if an uncontested divorce is appropriate for you.  If this is the case, we can help you in achieving an uncontested divorce for a flat fee or
another cost-effective method.

What happens if we are not in complete agreement regarding major issues in our divorce?

When there are disagreements regarding division of property, custody, visitation etc. there are other alternatives to resolve the divorce such as Collaborative Divorce or litigated divorce.

We can help you to determine a good alternative method for your divorce, let us help you, call us for a consultation with an uncontested divorce lawyer at (757) 271-3279 or send us an e-mail.
